June 2010 Quarterly Update

About This Update...

This update reflects changes that have been made to the data universes, related documentation, and alternate data products.

Aviation Universes

The following data source updates were made to ATMSR

  • Updated FY04 - FY07 Modification Kits and Installation Costs (Element 5.1.4) to capture previous years’ obligations
  • Reprocessed Operational Training costs (Element 4.2.1) for FY03 - 09 to better map certain devices to the appropriate aircraft TMS
  • Corrected CNATRA FHP fuel consumption factors for FY03 - 09 for F/A-18A and F/A-18B TMSs
  • Corrected CNATRA FHP costs for FY00 - 09 for the C-130T, previously mis-reported as TC-130G
  • Added PEO as a data dimension to improve query capabilities

Ship Universes

The following data source updates were made to the Detailed Ships, Ships, and Shipboard Systems Universes:

  • FY09 OARS data: quarterly update.
  • FY09 FMPMIS data: quarterly update.
  • FY09 FMP Others data: re-allocated as a result of the FY09 FMPMIS update
  • Added new element L.0: Days - Steaming Underway
  • Added new element M.0: Ship Age to the Class Averages Folder

Infrastructure Universe

  • Updated iNFADS by adding past years data to include end of fiscal years 2006 through 2008 and an "Inventory Date" dimension

Military Personnel Universes

  • Developed the business rules and populated all bonus and special pay subelements!
  • Added new element 1.9: Medicare-Eligible Retiree Health Care (MERHC) accruals

Note: bonus data will be included in the ATMSR and Ships Universes in the September Quarterly Update!

The following VAMOSC documents have been updated to reflect the annual release and provide details to changes in the data. They are available from the “Documentation” link under “Reference Material” on the VAMOSC homepage:

VAMOSC VIEWS

The following VAMOSC VIEWS have been updated with FY09 data.  Both charts and data sheets are available as Corporate Documents:

  • VAMOSC VIEWS for Surveillance Aircraft, Trainer Aircraft, and Transport Aircraft
  • VAMOSC VIEWS for MSC NFAF Ships, MSC SMS Ships, Support Ships, and Submarines
